Neurodiversity

A Brain that Thinks Differently

Navigating the world while neurodiverse can feel like you are going into the same battle as those around you without the same armor or protection. Sounds are too loud, textures too coarse, and social expectations impossible to understand at times.

The world is moving too fast, not giving you time to catch up, nonetheless to respond in the ways everyone is expecting. No one seems to notice or understand except you.

Yet, you continue to face every obstacle despite the barriers. You appear to be the Underdogeven feel like it; but you keep Kicking Butt, getting back up, despite the inevitable bruises of navigating a world not set up for you.

Neurodiversity Defined

Oxford Dictionary defines Neurodiversity as “The range of differences in individual brain function and behavioral traits, regarded as part of normal variation in the human population …” Oxford Dictionary

Neurodiverse encompasses a range of differences including Autism, ADD/ADHD, Sensory Processing Disorder and more. Yet regardless of the difference, the experience of living in a world not designed for you can feel similar.

Navigating the Ups & Downs

Stress can mount as you try to navigate the need to adapt, adjust, and assimilate. Stress that can lead to anxiety, depression, and even physical symptoms at times.

You can feel calm, confident, and capable as you navigate the ups and downs. Stress can feel lighter, communication easier, and you grounded in your authentic self.

What if the whole world doesn’t need to change for your world to change?

Our Work Together

Our work together is not to make your differences disappear but to understand how they impact your life. We work to understand your stress and emotions as you gain the confidence to be more of your authentic self so you can both meet your goals and enjoy the process along the way.
